The fifth annual Mitchell Thorp Foundation “Hearts for Hope” 5K Run/Walk benefiting families, whose children suffer from life-threatening illnesses, diseases and disorders will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Poinsettia Park, Thorp Field in Carlsbad. The event directly supports families throughout Southern California to endure and soften their heartbreaking journey.
This wonderful foundation comes to the aid of families who sometimes have no other support or lifeline as they endure the tragedy and heartbreak of a sick child.
This year’s event will feature an amazing sky jump by Jim Woods, Safety and training officer for the Navy Parachute Team the "Leap Frogs," while carrying in a 1500 square foot American flag for the opening ceremonies, also a Kids Run (5-10 years old), live DJ and band entertainment, runners’ medals, raffle, prizes, kids’ games, vendor booths, and more. To register or donate to this worthy cause go to www.mitchellthorp.org or call 760-603-8853.

Here's a housing market update for Carlsbad for 2016 in the video belo
"Tamara Banks acted as my real estate agent at the end of 2014. At the time of our first conversation she took into consideration my lifestyle and was able to hone in on exactly what I was looking for in my first home. Tamara came up with a great list of homes and for me and was insightful and took the time to explain the housing market to first time buyer. She was professional and courteous during the entire process, often altering her schedule to accommodate mine. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a property. She has continued to touch base with me and will always be a welcome guest in my home.
Sincerely, Lee C. "
